Founded in 1983, Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists, P.C. started as a team of six physicians and CRNAs providing cardiac anesthesia services at one hospital. Over the last forty years we have grown to over one hundred doctors, CRNAs, and NPs providing a full range of anesthesia and critical care services at five facilities. Established as the leading provider of premier cardiac anesthesia in Nashville, we are proud to have expanded our group while maintaining the same high standards. We have always grown carefully and thoughtfully, and we hire in the same way.  CVA is driven by a physician-led care team model that develops and delivers a full range of first-in-class anesthesia at every level.

 

In our early years, CVA provided cardiac anesthesia and critical care services at St. Thomas Hospital in west Nashville. This tertiary referral hospital is now known as Ascension St. Thomas West, and we have expanded to provide all of the anesthesia services at this facility. We also cover all anesthesia services at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery in midtown Nashville, Maury Regional Medical Center and the Surgery Center of Middle Tennessee in Columbia, and Providence Surgery Center in Mt. Juliet. Our practice continues to grow in scale and scope. 

 

Our team of Physicians, CRNAs, and NPs work collaboratively to deliver specialized anesthesia and critical care services. CVA’s team approach permeates all that we do. While our name might suggest we only provide cardiac services, our providers offer almost the complete range of anesthesia care across our campuses. This includes cardiothoracic, neurologic, orthopedic, vascular, OB, general, pediatric, and outpatient anesthesia. Our team of Nurse Practitioners and critical care trained anesthesiologists also provide specialized, high level care for our ICU patients at Ascension St. Thomas West Hospital. CVA is a full spectrum group and provides the full range of services at our facilities.
